First of all, let me explain that this isn't simply a physical confrontation here; this is a battle of wits. If it were up to Batman to foil one of Dr. Doom's schemes could he do it, or would Doom get the best of him? Which is the more likely scenario?
Of course, a physical confrontation between the two of them could be inevitable so it shouldn't be ignored.
So, tell be what you think?

Although Doom would put up a Hell of a fight, I think Batman would trump him in the end, for he's faced off and survived against worse foes, and is very resourceful and doesn't go down easily.

Man, this is a good one. I'm going to have to go with Batman because the dude just knows how to roll into battle prepared.
Besides Batman could defeat the entire ocean according to IGN, so...
DR, want me to add a poll for you?

Yes please.
I'd like to point out some of Doom's accomplishments for the record. He stole the powers of Galactus and then went on to steal the powers of The Beyonder. He's also pulled a fast one on the demon lord Mephisto to save the soul of his mother. Not bad for a mortal man.

I'd give it to Batman. The man is not only a great detective and a fighter, he's also one of the most brilliant tactical minds alive. Von Doom's weakness is his ego, which Batman can use against Victor. If Reed Richards can do it, Bruce Wayne can.

After tackling Ra's Al Ghul for so long, Doom's worldwide schemes shouldn't be beyond Batman's abilities. A physical confrontation may be more challenging, but with prep time, Batman might be able to take that as well.

But, this isn't a comic book, so the conventions don't apply. Good guys don't have to win here.
I'd like to point out that I think Doom has out-smarted Reed Richards on a number of occations. The only thing that stopped him from taking Reed out was his ego and his pentient for melodrama.
This however is not Reed Richards, this is Batman. Doom won't have a personal rivalry to cloud his judgement here, so that could free him up to do what it takes to win without delay. Doom's ego is definately his major weakness, but since he's not dealing with his most hated enemy here, that could be mitigated to some degree.
Then again, ego could lead Doom to underestimate Batman. I think it would depend on how much he knows about him ahead of time. Is he familiar with Batman's reputation?

No, he doesn't have a rivalry. But he still has an ego that can be stoked or crushed. Spider-Man has managed to survive fighting Von Doom because he's appealed to his ego or insluted it enough to by himself time. All Batman would have to do is start listing all the great accomplishments that he's done and then find a way to remove Doom's mask which conceals his face and with it, his vanity.
Tie, actually.
Batman never loses, but whenever you beat Doom it's only a Doombot.
