Those who have looked at the Troll 2 Wikipedia page may have seen this odd tidbit:
At the [Nilbog Invasion] event, Fragasso and writer Rossella Drudi announced plans for a sequel to "Troll II," and the audience was polled for their opinion on what the film should be called. The winning title was "Troll II: Part II."
I was there. It's genuine. While in Morgan, Claudio was informed that he would get paid to film it in Utah. While not there for the end of the conversation, someone told me he broke down and wept after he was told this. :confused: Who knows if that last bit is true, though? The rest certainly is, I promise you.
I read this on Wikipedia and, yes, I am a Wikipedia whore. I think that the title for the film is really fun for any fan of the first film. I would really like to see this come to fruition.

I'd be cool with Troll 2 getting it's own sequel, the "original" is a masterpiece of shit cinema and I mean that in the best way possible :D

HA! That's why I love Troll 2. It's like a cheeseball hollowed out and filled with cheese whiz (pun intended for those who get it).

God, those screen shots just remind me of the hatred I feel towards this film. It doesn't deserve ANY praise let alone Best Worst Movie...

TROLL 2: PART 2. How does that sound to you? To me it sounds like a goddamned treat. If you've seen TROLL 2, you know that it's a miracle of filmmaking: every single aspect of it is terrible. The acting, the make-up, the direction, the camera work - all fuse together in harmonious suckage. Those who lay eyes upon it never forget it... Hell, the movie is so notorious, there's a documentary coming out called BEST WORST MOVIE, which follows the bewildered "stars" of the movie as they deal with the legion of fans this epic FAIL has ammassed over the years. (The doc is supposed to be VERY good by the way. I can't wait to get my hands on it.)
But can it ever be topped? Director Claudio Fragasso thinks so. The man who made TROLL 2 (who is apparently convinced it's not as bad as everyone says it is) is thinking about making a follow-up to one of cinema's most beloved jokes. Michael Paul Stephenson - the lead in TROLL 2 and the director of BEST WORST MOVIE - recently spoke with Bloody Good Horror and told a very bizarre tale indeed.
He's actually talking with producers right now. He wants to make a real "Troll 3." When we were in LA, we were going back to Utah with him and he said "Okay Michael, when we're in Utah we shoot a little promo for Troll 3. You run into McDonalds and grab a hamburger and scream, and we use it for promo." So he's thinking about it and he wants to do it.
Err... Sounds like a man with ideas. I guess. Add to that this fact: At the end of BEST WORST MOVIE, the credits claim Claudio Fragasso is working on a script for TROLL 2: PART 2.
Beautiful. If you're completely unaware of what all the hoopla is about, watch the following scene. It will change you...
I hope I'm in Best Worst Movie, though I also hope people can stomach my terrible, nasally voice.
I'm more psyched for the doc myself.

When Rossella Drudi was asked what would be in this film, she said, "More music! More dancing!" before being shushed by Claudio.
Sometimes I still hum that dancing music from Troll 2.
I hope this is going to happen. I have exposed soooo many people to Troll 2. I could easily watch that movie once a week.
