Hellraiser comics for fans, by fans. It's been attempted before, two wonderful issues were completed around 2004 by Daniel Holland and Matt Cerovich, based on scripts by myself and DocM. The project got no further but hadn’t been forgotten and now it's being resurrected. In fact, it's already underway with currently EIGHT artists interested in the project and THREE already preparing work on their comics. One comic in over half way done and some scripts are being developed.

This series will get it's own section on The Hellbound Web, designed especially for these fan comics. The stories are set as a direct follow-up to the EPIC comic series, in terms of the Leviathan mythology although, as fan based comics, they will focus more on the best elements that fans enjoy.

And most importantly, this is a fan venture, for fans and by the fans. We have more artists than writers currently but that doesn’t mean we’re not looking for both. Anyone wanting to draw or write stories get in touch, either with any example of your art or some brief story outlines. Not too long or detailed mind, people have to draw these in their own time for free, but a story that could suit a 6-10 page comic. If your interested reply to this message or email scarecrow@cenobite.com and I hope you will enjoy the development of this series!

This Promo art is by Hellbound Web Forum member "Ash Loomis", who is drawing one of the first issues. It gives a taste of the level of quality this series can strive too.

I'd love to get on board for this. Artist, writer, both. I'm game. I'd kind of thought my Hellraiser novel would be the end of it for me, but I'd love to get back into the mythology and the epic comics were... well, epic. Some of my favorite short horror stories of all time came out of those comics. I currently just completed a comics workshop with renowned comic artist Steve Bissette (who headed the brilliant Taboo comics with Clive Barker himself) so comics aren't new ground for me.

I'm also definitely looking forward to seeing the new visions only fans can unleash.

Both is good. I really need to catch up reading that story of yours, was enjoying it so far! Anyway, on hand, I'm familiar with your writing so that's good! Any chance of sharing some of your art work? We have at leats one person writing and drawing their own strip but then we have someone writing a script for another artist and, in turn drawing someone elses script. Personaly I prefer that as it allows for creative collaborations. Just let me know what you're up for and we'll discuss further.

Not really sure how to upload images to the board, as I've never done it before, but when I can I will. I am definitely an artist and have held an art gallery before, but if I were to choose I'd probably choose to write. But I may get lineant with that, because art is still a very strong passion of mine.

Needing writers mainly at the minute at any rate! Best way to go about this is come up with a few possible storylines and send them over to me at scarecrow@cenobite.com and we can discuss them from there on. :)

I'd say that was the problem, re-sent that. Should work now.

Yeah, I've been dealing with a lot for awhile. Also haven't been entirely sure what to do with the script, but I've made a change or two and we'll see how it goes. I'll send that off to you.

This project is still ongoing, with some beautiful and terrifying art being produced. Natman, your comic is being developed, it's just a generally slow process, being a fan series, but thinbgs are progressing and having a variety of scripts helps us offer artists a number of styles.

No, I get that. Still a relief to hear, though, considering I haven't heard anything in awhile.

The above art now forms our "Coming Soon" image with the "Hellbound Chronicles" logo, Hellraiser Fan Comics Website (http://www.cenobite.com/hellbound.htm)

Natman, I've emailed your script to an artist and await a response...
