While listening the FvJ commentary it was mention that Bryan Singer was on the set examining Jason's makeup.
It got thinking of a game of what if? For instance if someone was to throw out:

Then you would give a reason.
Jackson had apparently already penned a Elm Street script so I would love to see his take on Freddy's dreamscape.
