You bought Dr. Who series 2? That would've costed me as much as both seasons of Dead Like Me and any of the other shows (Heroes,Supernatural, or Crow Stairway to Heaven).

All of the series I bought costed a total of around $145.

I could have purchased Heroes and Eureka for the price I paid for Doctor Who: The Complete Second Series, and I thought about doing it, too. But Doctor Who is very important to me. I'm not exaggerating when I say it's a big part of the reason I haven't ended my own life during this two year nightmare that has been life-changing spinal damage.

I've literally spent the last year trying to save the $86.34 needed to buy it (that's how little money I get per year). Such is my dedication to the programme. Ultimately, it was an easy choice to make. :shy:

The show was off the air between 1989 and 2005, so there was a 15 year gap. When my step father told me he saw a blurb on CNN saying it was coming back, I thought he was being cruel in an attempt to hurt my feelings.

As for the price... I don't do a lot of online shopping. Plus I'm impatient. I've spent a year saving for it, I wanted it now. Besides, the last time I ordered a DVD box set through the mail, there were floating, damaged discs in the case. :misery:

Two local Hollywood Video stores are going out of business and selling their entire dvd selections ranging from 60 cents to 2 dollars a dvd at one store to $3.50 max at the other store. Yeah, I have a 20 page wish list and I g through it and pick used movies up (most are actually still new) when they are dirt cheap. I got Andre The Butcher for $1.22, that movie Sublime for $0.88, Savage Harvest for $4.50, Savage Harvest 2 for $4 and so on. Most of the movies were under $4, in fact they all were under $3 except Savage Harvest 1,2 and Doom Asylum.
