3 Accused of using corpse head to smoke pot

Two men and a juvenile are accused of digging up a corpse, decapitating the body and using the head to smoke marijuana, according to court documents.

Matthew Gonzalez and Kevin Jones have been charged with the misdemeanor offense of abuse of a corpse, said Scott Durfee, a spokesman for the Harris County District Attorneys Office.

According to documents filed in the case, Gonzalez, Jones and an unnamed juvenile on March 15 went to an Humble cemetery, dug up a man's grave, left with the head and turned it into a "bong."

Gonzalez told authorities about the incident Wednesday, and showed officers the defaced grave, including a 4-foot hole. Because of a heavy rain, officers were unable to determine whether the casket or the body had been disturbed.

I agree, but I also think that for being in possession of illegal drugs and descrating someone's grave, they need a combination of both. At least six months in prison would be a suitable sentence for them IMO, along with rehabilitation, counseling and community service.

I agree. If I were a relative of that dead person who's grave was desecrated, I'd be absolutely fuming. I think they should do at least a year of community service for a mortuary/cemetery.

This reminds me of what Denis Leary said in "No Cure For Cancer" about looking for other methods for creating bongs. He said that they should make one out of a box and then out of some guy's head. I think these guys are beyond disturbed to use a head for a bong.

Thing is the problem lies much deeper than these kids wanting to smoke pot. They could have used papers, hand made bongs, pipes, TP rolls, apples, etc... these kids wanted to smoke out of a real skull and that's pretty warped.

Besides that you cna get REAL human skulls online in many places- use those!

Definitely agree. It's odd that the pot is getting as much attention as the human skull aspect in this thread. I don't care if they were doing meth, the skull would still be the waaay more fucked up part to me.

And you're also definitely right. The effort it took these kids to dig a six foot hole in the group, open a coffin, take some dude's head off and then figure out how to use it for a pipe is far more work than, I dunno, using a coke can. Hell, there's probably instructions on apple pipes and coke can pipes and joint rolling online, but I'm moderately certain a human head is more unexplored territory.
