I'd say the Creeper, if you had the right timing, could be kind of easy to beat. If his big thing is that he regenerates body parts by eating them, then Pumpkinhead could easily tear his head off and decimate it, then rip all his other limbs off. Wouldn't be much of a contest, and the only thing the Creeper has going for him is that he can fly.

Indeed he does. Let's remember. The Creeper, on top of his regeneration, strength, and flight ability, is quite smart. As we saw with his artistic skill in crafting his "House of Pain" in the first flick, his handmade weapons, and his planning in keeping the students penned in the bus in JC2. The monster is many things, but dumb is not one of them. I don't think it would take the Creeper too long to figure out Pumpkinhead's link to the poor vengeful S.O.B. that sicced the demon on him. So he could take out the demon by merely taking out the summoner real fast.

However, I wonder. If the Creeper eats the individual who called upon the Demon of Vengence, does he likewise take the curse upon himself as well ?

I'd say The Creeper's biggest advantages are his speed and his ability to fly. Pumpkinhead is usually portrayed as being rather slow, so he could have a hard time keeping up with The Creeper. It would be nice if they could make a movie that shows Pumpkinhead moving around with more speed.

And, can you imagine what it would feel like if The Creeper were to swoop down and ram into Pumpkinhead at high speed. It won't kill the demon, but it would probably suck.

As far as The Creeper taking out the one who summoned Pumpkinhead, first he has to realize that such a link exists. If the summoner decides to go into hiding and let Pumpkinhead do his thing, The Creeper won't have any way to figure out his adversary's weakness.

And, even if he knows about this weakness he has to find the summoner in order to take advantage of it. Again, if the summoner decides to go into hiding, it could be difficult for The Creeper to locate him/her.

I'd argue Creeper to win. Basically all he has to do is kill the mope who summoned Pumpkinhead, and avoid Pumpkinhead itself by flying. That way, the question of who wins hand to hand doesn't even come up, even though while Pumpkinhead may win that (has he ever been decapitated or anything?) I think Creeper could go a few rounds with P-dawg easy (he withstood some major damage in those movies, more than I recall seeing Pumpkinhead survive), or just go til he's hurt, fly off and eat some guy, and come back.

Of course, this may be the kind of poll where things would be a bit bias based on the popularity of the two characters. It's like asking who would win, Captain Spaulding or the killer from, say, some remade Japanese horror. The later is clearly way more powerful and easily capable of killing Captain Spaulding and guns and knives don't hurt it, and Captain is too dumb to figure out some big riddle to take care of the problem. But still, everyone would vote for Spaulding because they like him more/he is cooler, not because he actually has the advantage. People used to argue Jason could take out everything short of God himself based on that kind of bias at the old board.
