Yea sadly its true. I hear about it on TV yesterday. Pedaratricians are saying it really bad for youth, as their bones haven't full developed yet. The people behind it says that it would help kids stand up to bullying. Umm wouldn't this promote bullying? I haven't found a link for this, but I'll try later. I think this is just an all around bad idea.

I think its a little over hyped due to the growing popularity of MMA. I took karate when I was a kid back in the early 80s, and I remember sparing with gloves and headgear on. I guess this style is a little more advanced and aggressive, but its really nothing new.

Yeah most martial art schools teach discipline and respect. And even the UFC fighters show each other respect (most of the time). The will kick each others ass in the contest, then hug and shake hands afterward.

That and being dominated by somebody better than you makes people pretty humble. Of course, that doesn't go for everybody, some people are just pricks no matter what.
