I know we had something like this on the old board, but I couldn't find one through a search here. Hopefully it's in the right section, if not I'm sure a mod can move it.

Anyhoo, I just got thinking about it again since I put a set of pipes on my bike over the weekend. Been riding here ever since I can remember; my current ride right now is a 1991 Honda Shadow VLX. I bought it last summer in near mint condition with 2469 miles on it, and I've got a bit over 6000 on it now.

Here's a pic of it last year the day I bought it

Pic from this weekend with the new pipes... and yeah I know it's ridiculously dirty. I'm going to get it professionally detailed this spring.

Here's a little video clip I shot of it idling; man I love these new pipes.

My last bike was a 1984 Honda VT500 Ascot; I sold it years ago because it needed a lot of work and I've regretted it ever since. It was an oddball, and fun to ride... not the most comfortable thing though.

Anyway, thought I'd get the topic rolling... I know we have more riders on here.

Damn, that bike looks brand new. I'd like to hear those pipes when you open the throttle up.

I have a sport bike (r6), no pics at the moment.

Didn't turn out that great, my camera doesn't like loud stuff.

It sounds bad ass. That's funny that you had to put the camera so far back just so it won't be overpowered by the bike. You can tell it's really loud.

Yeah it is... it was idling a bit fast in that video cause i had the choke on.

I need to rejet the carbs though, it's running lean now and it has a flat spot around mid throttle.

I finally had my brother take a couple of rideby vids on it so you can get a good listen. I'll just post the short one to save download time.

*ADDED 6/9/08*

I just bobbed my bike this weekend, and I'm very happy with the results. Took about 15 hours or so to complete with a bit of help from a couple of my friends and my dad. I know it doesn't look like it rolled out of West Coast Choppers or anything, but I think it's pretty nice for being a home job as well as a 1st build.
