SYNOPSIS:
Do you have a problem? Everyone does, and Vic Simmons knows them all too well. He's a man with an emotionally dark, turbulent past, and that past has forged him into who is today. He's a licensed private investigator, but is known as "the fixer," a man people goto when they have been dealt with an injustice. There are only a few that identify with Vic, and in turn, he calls them friends. X. Franklin is gruff, cynical, and burned out, but is always honest. He's a link to Vic's past, but a brighter one than what some might believe. Jack Demerest is the man that lifted Vic up from his absolute lowest points over the last decade. J.D. gave Vic the friendship and the counsel of a brother that was needed to endure the pain within. Vic could never have survived this long without either of them.
The core of Victor's emotional turbulence was the 1987 traumatic car accident that claimed the lives of his best friends, Derrick Lucas & Samantha Bishop. When that happened, he vowed to watch over and protect Samantha's younger sister, Katie, like a big brother. In the fifteen years since then, he has held to that oath - until now. Being stretched rather thin and becoming neglectful, he is now faced with a frightening situation. Luther Resnick, Katie's abusive ex-boyfriend that Vic never knew about, has returned. The ride doesn't get any easier for "the fixer" as Caroline Burnett, his former lover and close friend of Katie's, is there to drive home the grim reality of his life as it has become. There will be no easy way to fix this problem. Though, even if he can make it all right by Katie, can he ever make it right by himself?

It's been a long road getting to the final leg of production on this film, but I am happy to announce that the first official teaser trailer for "The Fixer" is now online! Music featured is from Apocalypse Cow Productions (www.callthecow.com). Here are the current links to the teaser trailer (official site links w/high res video coming soon):

Most of the film was shot with the Sony HDR-FX1, and edited with Final Cut Express 1.0. Though, I've recently been working with Final Cut Pro 4.5, and that is what I cut this trailer with. Eric Woltman has been our primary DP for the majority of production since last February, and was one HELL of a DP (the first shot in the trailer was 100% his inspiration). I'm just glad to say, that, after 14 months, we are just about wrapped up. Just sort of 2nd Unit style work to take care of by myself. The BIGGEST news is that film is going to clock in near the 90 minute mark from just a 55 page script written by me. I'll be exploring the festival scene once I have a release version of the film locked down. Also, we have a early preview scene from the film which we shot just a week ago. Here are the links:
