I've been enjoying some streaming radio content for most of the day today. I've been listening to a lot of foreign radio. Of course the problem is that a lot of it streams through Real Audio, but I can't get any of it to work in Winamp. So mostly, I've been sticking to 32kbps or 56kbps mp3 streams from various foreign stations that aren't the BBC.
Does anyone else listen to streaming radio? Does anyone know any good stations to listen to, particularly ones that will stream in Winamp?
I wish I could stream BBC 7 better. I love audio dramas, but I hate streaming Real Audio (and I can't stream the Media Player stream because I'm not in the UK).
I listen to a lot of the radio channels on iTunes. I am big into middle eastern music and that is the only place I can find that steams it.

I used to dj on a streaming radio station way back in the day, all of us were just volunteers and whenever there wasn't someone to fill, there was just blank air. How things have changed; that was like 6 years ago.
And you think using real player sucks, you should use the RealNetworks streaming software (RealProducer). It sucks ass, but it's really all we had back then.

Absolute Radio (http://www.absoluteradio.co.uk/) is the only radio station that i regularly listen to (apart from BBC Radio Five Live for the football/soccer matches). They have some good shows on it.
The show that i listen to on a nightly (Mon - Thur) basis is Iain Lee's Two Hour Long Late Night Radio Show (http://www.absoluteradio.co.uk/djs_shows/shows/iain_lee/index.html?utm_source=on-air) it's a brilliant mix of good music and call ins. Well worth a listen!

I usually listen to two rock stations when I stream radio: WKIT 100.3 The Rock Bangor (http://zoneradio.com/wkit/index.shtml) out of Bangor, Maine (which is locally owned by THE Mr. Stephen King & his wife Tabitha King) and a station from home which I listen to most often 105.9 The Mountain (http://1059themountain.com/) out of WNC which I'm listening to right now.

I like Pandora. You just type in a genre, artist, or band name that you like and it plays everything that sounds like that band.
For example, if I type in Korn, then I'll be listening to Korn, Disturbed, Metallica, White Zombie, Slipknot, etc.
If I type in Foo Fighters I get to also hear Nirvana, Smashing Pumkins. etc
There's no commericals and I really enjoy it.
