Something me and some friends have been thinking about doing.

How does Roy come back after his death in A New Beginning? Does he have superhuman strength like the undead Jason? Otherwise, I don't know how Roy would stand a chance, since I don't think Jason even feels pain since returning in Jason Lives. Also, what is the reason they're fighting? One might say because Roy was impersonating Jason, but in Making Friday the 13th, a couple people (including the director) say that Roy was somewhat posessed by Jason, that Roy, in an angered state, was sort of egged on by the spirit of Jason to kill.

Yeah I'd watch it, sounds like an interesting premise.

A long long time ago, in a board far far away...another board member and I had an idea. I couldn't remember if it was Thac or not, it mighta been Thac, but whatever the case, we had an idea like this. Ours was that the police in an attempt to cover up the murders, buried Roy as Jason and in fact the "Jason" reincarnated in Jason Lives was Roy, and not Jason Voorhees. A new sequel would have Rowan investigating the capture of Jason, whom had fled to a neighboring town to lick his wounds from Part IV, after the police had stupidly let him slip away again. After Roy is killed, they quickly bury him in Jason's place as to make it look like Jason has been truly there all along. Rowan would have been sent to investigate the capture of Jason from the town, and this film would therefore link JGTH, and X. However, this was debunked later through continuity errors, such as Jason having the same clothing on from Part IV when he is resurrected. I wrote a little of the script, it'd still be a bad ass idea, if everyone would totally forget continuity.
But yea, I'd watch one given the right circumstances, mainly, how you would bring Roy back to life. Something tells me lightening striking a fence post wouldn't work twice.

The fan fic would have no logic, if anything it would take place the same day as his murders at Pinehurst while Jason was watching.
It would be nothing but a 15 minute short of people getting hacked and then a Roy and Jason showdown. It basically came up in a convo for one reason, and was to have 2 killers go head to head.
At first his idea was 2 Jasons... and then I mentioned Jason and Roy.
It makes sense to have the wannabe face off against the real deal. Of course Jason must win.

One approach was to be a comical one... Roy runs off screaming perhaps.
But I don't like that, I just wanted blood and gore and Jason walking away with ease really.

I'd watch a JVR movie, it would be fun.

Which Jason are we dealing with here? Since you said it'd happen around the Pinehurst murders, I take it Jason would be Final Chapter-like? Basically a real version of the Jason that Tommy sees in A New Beginning?
Everyone seems to think Roy would stand no chance against Jason. But consider this...if a 12 year-old boy can kill Jason, I think a homicidal maniac stands a chance against Mr. Voorhees. Roy kills just like Jason and appears to be able to take a lot of damage, plus he's arguably smarter than Jason. If Ginny and Tommy can play mind games with Jason, consider what a sick individual like Roy can do. Roy's definitely no joke. He's more or less as dangerous as classic Jason. It'd be a closer match-up than people think.

TFC Jason vs Roy.
Yeah.
I think Roy would give Jason 2-4 a run for his money.
it's kinda cool to because they both have similar motives for their killing.

Yeah, the guy who writes for me and I are still throwing around ideas how they can meet up. I don't know... sorta hard because Jason was dead. We are thinking of having him come back... or have a short thing of Jason on the ground in a room (The Jarvis House) and get up all bloody-headed and leave. Sort of like how they linked Part 2 and 3.

Hey, I'd watch it, just for the climactic battle scene alone.

Jason would require some major surgery to walk away from what happened at the end of TFC. His brains would be spilling out of his head. Would he sow his head shut?

Well, it's a fan film and Jason should have been dead long before his run in with Tommy. The machete to the shoulder/chest would have been fatal and the hanging would have been fatal and the axe to the head could have been fatal.
It's fiction.

I understand. Sorry if it seemed I was being a dick or something. I was just brainstorming.
As for how I'd handle the Jason being able to walk away from the end of TFC, I wouldn't even try to explain it. He'd just show up. Maybe he'd have a scar around the right side of his head, but that's about all I'd do.

Well, somehow Jason walked away from his TFC wounds, because he came jumping out of his hole in "Jason Lives", and several adventures since then.
I'd be more worried about the battle being rather one sided (Anyone seen Bambi vs. Godzilla?) But if this thing is just for fun, and I think it probably is, it likely won't need any huge backstory or fuss about "why?"
Good luck, Scab!

I like Roy.
I'd watch...it's an idea I've thought about before.

I wouldn't watch anything that could remind me of the disaster that was A New Beginning.

I'd watch it. It would be interesting to see Jason's reaction to the imposter.
Take care and God bless.

It would probably be one of those head-tilting, WTF?? reactions on Jason's part. At least it would for me. If I was standing in front of someone dressed almost exactly like me, albeit a few differences, realizing "hey, this fucker's an imposter!", tilting my head and thinking WTF would be about all I could do. Then charge in for the kill, of course.

Well, it's just something to do in fun mainly and will be nothing based on ANB, TFC, or whatever. Short and fun. I personally don't care who watches it, but my friends all said they'd rather waste their time on something people may watch.
We just make these short films left and right and never really show them to anyone so I am sure they are tiring of it!
The guy who will do splat for the film is pretty good though, and if he doesn't want to do it we will probably nix the idea. He's working on another film we are doing... here is some of his work.

I was only able to open the first link, and it looks really good.
Yes, I would watch it...especially if you guys show Jason getting up leaving the Jarvis' house all bloody-headed. That would be pretty cool.
