I just figured I'd start a thread to post about our favorite horror trailers that creep us out. I absolutley love trailers. I go to the theatre early before the film starts to make sure that I see all the trailers. I also make it a point to watch the trailers on my new dvds before i watch the film. Some of my favorite horror trailers and tv spots are the ones for Maniac. I thought they were so creepy and grainy. I also loved the Suspiria trailers.

Should we limit it to one trailer per post? That makes it funner! LOL,

I always liked Prom Night's trailer. Mediocre film, but great soundtrack!

I always liked the trailer to The Burning, but then again I really like the movie so that might be influencing my judgment.

The House On Sorority Row's trailer always seemed to be horror and growing upish. I enjoyed it:

Since Peter mentioned it, i'll post it, as it's also one of my personal top 10 horror trailers. It's the cut trailer of "Maniac" which I find funner than the uncut, as it teases you. Who wants to see all the gory glory before the film starts, I say? The "going to the showdown" song made this trailer near perfect for me, and the montage centered around the subway chase. Excellent!

I loved the T.V spot for I am Legend where he's laying in the tub and you hear something outside his door growling, and then everything going black. It just leaves you with a sense of... oh shit, what's behind that door?

Great trailer for a great movie! This advertisement almost releases the same dred that is relinquished from the film. It's cheesy, it's fun, it's down right nasty. Yes, it's:

Again, I have to agree with Peter. This is one of my favourite horror trailers. For 1977's, Suspiria, this quick clipshow of the Italian giallo plays its creepy theme song, while "shockingness" appears. Hehe, "Roses are red, violets are blue; the iris is a flower, that will be the end of yoo-oou!!"

I have many favorite horror trailers/TV spots. Since it's only one per post, i'll start with one of my favorites, Madman. I always enjoyed the TV spots.

I agree with you guys about Maniac. That one is also one of my personal favorites....as well as the movie itself. :)

Yeah, Madman's trailers and spot really succeeded with that looming score at the their closing. Plus the cheese factor.

Speaking of cheese, here's a cheesy (and kinda sleazy) trailer for the 1980 flick, "Don't Answer the Phone". Strangely enough, there are very little phones in the movie.

Here is a trailer for another horror film I like called "Phone". There's a little girl in this movie that just does one hell of a job. Her scenes really stole the movie.
