Ahhhh yeah, makin' my return since no one else seemed to care. Note, it doesn't HAVE to be Christmas, but you get the idea and can use your best judgment. Obviously if you vote for Jack Frost, people will understand.

My vote:

Well, I haven't seen Black Christmas in a long time, and surely it'll be #1 on this list. So, I will turn to one of the funnest slashers of the 80s, Silent Night, Deadly Night! A videotime favorite, the gore and Linnea make this so, so awesome. God, I'd eat Linnea's ass after she took a shit, and I ain't even kiddin'.

Linnea circa 1985, of course.

EDIT: MODS PLEASE CHANGE THIS TO TOP 5 "CHRISTMAS HORROR MOVIES"

Hmm...well, if it were wintery slashers, I'd go My Bloody Valentine. But there's not too much snow in that flick. So, I'm gonna have to go with "Black Christmas" ('74 ofcourse)...great atmosphere, nice pace, fair story, awesome killer, and fun characters..."Billy!"

Black Christmas, on accounta how it's the best Christmas slasher.

Do we really have that many, by the way? Maybe it should just be Christmastime or themed horror in general?

I mean, I can't name a ton of Xmas slashers off the top of my head, and most of them go "Silent Night, Deadly Night [variable]"

I basically meant Xmas horror, sorry. I dunno why the hell I put slashers in there. If I can't change it, surely a mod reading the thread will.

Glad to see these threads back! :)

My vote goes to Silent Night, Deadly Night. It's always been my favorite Christmas slasher.

Wow...I'm speechless. You thought BC was boring?? I've always found that Halloween and BC drank from the same cup, and that SN,DN was a blatant ripoff of Halloween. However I respect and trust your opinion implicitly.

Well Silent night Deadly night has some guy in a Santa suit going absolutely apeshit, so that's my pick. Fun for the whole family.

I say that it also holds the award for 'worst sequel' ever also.

Is there even 5 Christmas horror films? Haha.

Hmm... Black Christmas... Black Christmas remake... Silent Night Deadly Night and it's shitty sequels... I guess Jack Frost... Not very many to choose from.

I like the Black Christmas remake. I'll go with that followed by the original and then Silent Night Deadly Night.

I don't know about the slasher part, but as far as Christmas horror movies there is also : Christmas Evil, Don't Open Till Christmas, Gremlins, Tales From the Crypt 1972 (it had a Christmas story), and Child's Play (takes place at Christmas) to name a few.

Next round, I'm so voting for "And All Through the House," the "Tales from the Crypt" television show episode featuring a demented Santa Claus attacking a housewife who just murdered her husband for his insurance on Christmas Eve. It's based on the story by the same name in the "Tales from the Crypt" movie starring Joan Collins, but I always felt the TV episode was the better version of the story.

Hey, it doesn't say "top 5 Christmas Slasher MOVIES," just "slashers." By that token, someone could vote for that Futurama episode with the killer Santa Bot.

Scarecrow

The request was to change it to horror which was a good idea.

And second best Xmas horror... it HAS to be Gremelins, even if its a black comedy as well... come on people, it's fricking GREMLINS!

I love Jack Frost. It's like one big cheese ball. I also heard the Easter Bunny Kill, Kill is coming out this spring. that should be a good holiday slasher.
