cast/voice list

* Jason Lee - David "Dave" Seville
* Ross Bagdasarian, Jr. - Alvin/Simon (voice)
* Janice Karman - Theodore (voice)
* David Cross - Ian
* Cameron Richardson - Claire

Oddily enough this is all I can find no plot or anything other than it will be out December 14th 2007

Given the fact it's out in 5 months I would of thought there would be more info on it.

Oh God.

I think I'm marking out for a movie about chipmunks. :D

That is odd though that there's no word on a plot or anything with just five months to it's release.

oh no...I'll watch this cause I grew up with the Chipmunks...and I love that movie they made in the 90's where they went around the world...I think I would look more forward to this if it was a cartoon...but hey, look at Scooby Doo, that was an awsome movie, both of them

To be honest the reason it bothered me so much is he was always my favorite character even more than Scooby and Shaggy
Of course he was evil

The Chipmunks cartoon is one of my fondest memories...the poster scares me more than words can say. I have some faith in it since Jason Lee is in it but I don't like the Gangster look they have going on with the Chipmunks. While it wasn't a problem in the cartoon I wonder if they will explain a grown man living with three overgrown talking chipmunks....

Oh Christ. What the hell are they wearing? Jason Lee or not, this looks like a train wreck in the making.

I must admit I don't like the Chipmunk Gangster Rapper look.

Edit
I wonder if The Chipettes will be featured

I couldn't help but smile when I saw the poster. Jason Lee seems like a great choice for Dave and I loved the cartoon as a kid so I'll check it out. Let's hope it doesn't turn out to be another "Garfield".

Anyways, I loved the Chipmunks so I will remain as geeked as ever about this. Jason Lee does indeed seem like a great choice for Dave.

Is this even real? Is there anything out there, besides this one website. Does Jason Lee have anything on his website or My Space, assuming he has one.

This about sums it up for me. I hope the producers don't turn this into an 8 Mile rap contest.

I love "The Chipmunk's Movie" AKA the one where they travel around the world in hot-air balloons collecting dolls of themselves for a diamond-smuggler.

Oh, this is not that movie. Um, I don't see how this is going to work. I guess it could be like "Stuart Little" which isn't all that bad. There have been some decent live-action movies like "Charlotte's Web" and the before-mentioned "Stuart Little," but there have been some pretty unfaithful adaptations of beloved shows like "Scooby Doo" and its horrible sequel.

I hope it's good, obviously, because why would anyone want a bad movie to come out? I hope the gangsta look isn't representing the style in which the chipmucks will be portrayed in the entire movie.

See... I've never had a problem with Optimus having flames, or Megs having a weird look. I've never had a problem with Joker looking like a sick goth. I didn't have a problem when TMNT went CGI. However, Alvin and the Chipmunks going gangster... I HAVE A HUGE PROBLEM WITH THAT! They were troublesome, sure. However, they didn't rap, and they sang songs with nicely high pitched Harmony. Now that they're fuckin with that, ugh. Like Underdog, the only reason I'll go see it is because of Jason Lee. He makes any movie worth it... I can't wait for the second season of My Name is Earl just for that reason.

I don't know, Underdog looks pretty good to me. At least the trailers make it look somewhat faithful to the source, unlike Scooby-Doo. I knew that it would suck turkey nuts when I first saw the trailer in the beginning of the E.T. 20th Anniversary Edition.

took my kids to see this last night, the theater was sold out, everyone was laughing from star to finish, and people actually clapped at the end

The movie was HILARIOUS, I plan on seeing it again:D
